What is Zoiper Scribe?
Zoiper Scribe is an on-device speech-to-text desktop app that turns calls, meetings, screen audio, dictation and audio/video files into private, searchable text. It runs locally on your computer using Kroko.ai speech models.
Can Zoiper Scribe transcribe calls automatically?
Yes. With your permission, Scribe can watch a recordings folder and automatically transcribe and summarize new call recordings as they appear — no manual import needed.
Does Scribe only work with Zoiper?
No. Scribe is a general desktop speech-to-text app for dictation, meetings, live subtitles and files. Automatic Zoiper call transcription is one powerful workflow, not the whole product.
Can I dictate into any app?
Yes. Press a shortcut and speak; your words appear in whatever text field currently has focus — email, documents, tickets, CRM notes, chat or your IDE.
Can Scribe create live subtitles?

Does my audio leave my computer?
Transcription runs locally using on-device speech models, so your audio is not uploaded to a cloud transcription service. Scribe may contact servers for licence and model downloads.
What audio and video files can I transcribe?

Does Scribe work with Zoom, Meet, or Teams?
Scribe can transcribe web meeting audio with your permission, then return a transcript, summary and searchable record. It captures audio locally rather than joining as a bot.
Can I use it for call-center or PBX workflows?
If your softphone or PBX writes call recordings to disk, Scribe can watch that folder and transcribe new calls automatically — useful for sales, support and call-handling teams.
How accurate is it?
Scribe uses speech models tuned for conversational and telephony audio, and can highlight low-confidence spans where supported. No speech-to-text is perfect, especially with heavy noise or overlapping speakers, so treat transcripts as a strong aid rather than a flawless record.
Which languages are supported?
Scribe supports multiple languages through its Kroko.ai speech models.
Is it legal to record and transcribe calls?
